A Bunch of New Things

This pictures is just one I think is cute and wanted to share it.You have to look at this picture really closely, but Mia has gotten her first tooth. Now she can really chomp down on you!
Claire recently discovered that she can fit into Papa and Grandma Lois' toy box.
This is a new thing we discovered Claire can do with her tongue. Her Aunt Janelle can fold her tongue in thirds and now Claire has learned to do it. She is so proud of it.
Claire's Papa gave her the best present ever this week. When we went to their house for dinner on Sunday he had this special present waiting for her. She couldn't wait to get on and try it out. You can tell by her smile she loves this present.
She asks every day to go outside and ride her bike. We had to buy her a new helmet because the one she is wearing is a bit too small for her. So here she is riding her brand new big kid bike.

And finally...Mia has learned to clap. Well in her own way....she is so fun.

New things

The other weekend we attended a Toy Story themed birthday party. Claire loved it...we all did. LeeAnn did a wonderful job with this party. All the girls had the opportunity to dress up as Jessie. Claire loves her Jessie hat and was anxious to wear it while holding her Jessie doll. Here she is...so proud!!
Claire has been earning money for doing chores and other jobs at the house. She wanted new sunglasses so she bought some with her own money. She was so proud of herself. Then she also bought a Flynn Rider and Rapunzel doll. Now she can sing the song "At last I see the Light". It is really cute. (We haven't been able to get that on tape yet)
Finally Mia's new trick is she can wave. Several people have called it her princess wave because they think it looks like a beauty queen wave. (I guess it is in the blood...thanks Grandma Nancy).

St. Patty's Day and such.

Well Mia has now graduated from the army crawl (well she still does it to really move) to rocking back and forth on all fours. Here she is on all fours with drool going down her face (this is something that happens quite often).
Claire has been asking to get in the tub with Mia ever since Mia was born. Mia finally sits up good in the tub, so last night I let the girls get in and just play and splash together. Claire loved it and Mia couldn't figure out what Claire was doing in the tub with her.
Since today is St. Patrick's Day we decided to celebrate it by having green pancakes and green eggs (the eggs were Claire's idea). Here is Claire with one of her green pancakes. She was so excited to have them.
In preschool we were given this fun activity to do to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. We didn't do it with all the kids, but I decided to do it with Claire. Here she is working on creating her pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
This is an example of how they are "supposed to" turn out.
This is how Claire's turned out. Not exactly what they are supposed to look like, but she had so much fun and that is what counted!!!

Hopscotch

The newest activity at our house is a hopscotch. Claire has always loved to hopscotch when we are outside. She is always asking us to make one on the sidewalk with chalk and she uses a rock. Grandma Lois bought Claire this indoor hopscotch and she LOVES it!!! (it gives her a lot of exercise). We love watching her do her best. It is just so fun.

Read Across America

In preschool yesterday we learned that today is 'Read Across America' Day. It is a celebration of Dr. Suess' birthday. We got to make these fun hats and read books. So today we decided to read together to celebrate the day. Here is Claire in her Dr. Suess top hat.
Mia wanted the hat as you can see.
Claire shared her hat with Mia.

Army Crawl

Mia is almost six months old and she is still such a happy baby. She loves to roll all over the place and has figured out how to turn in circles. Today she officially learned how to do the "army crawl". Although she has put her own unique spin on it.

Our Girls

We have posted before that Mia is sitting up on her own. Here is a new picture of her sitting. She was so proud of herself. Look at that smile!!
In preschool I've been trying to teach the kids to write their own name. The other day Claire wrote her own name all by herself. I had to show it off because I think she did a great job!
As most of you know, Bryan loves video games, I think Claire has followed in her dad's footsteps. Here she is on Valentine's Day driving a speed boat. She loved it!
Claire loves being a princess. Here she is all fancied up and posing for her loyal subjects!
Mia is a princess in training.
For the past couple of weeks Claire has asked to feed Mia. We decided it wouldn't be a problem to teach her how. So yesterday we did. She loved feeding Mia (she needed some extra help with knowing how much to give Mia) and I think Mia thought it was fun too.
This is one of my favorite pictures we've taken lately. Grandma Lois bought Mia these mesh feeders for Christmas. We have put in an apple, an orange and a strawberry. This picture was taken after she had first tried the strawberry. Do you think she liked it?
