It has been a lot of fun around our house this past weekend. Bryan went to a PAX video game conference. So he was gone for a few days. He had a great time with his cousin John and yes they got to be video game geeks for a few days. He was able to meet Freddie W. a you tube guy Bryan follows.
This past weekend was a big weekend for Mia. She turned two. Bryan was gone so she got the privileged of celebrating her birthday for a few days in a row. She loved that. Thanks LeeAnn for my birthday lunch and Mia loves her crown. The night of her birthday, I asked her what she wanted for dinner...her answer was....BIRTHDAY CAKE.
Since all Mia wanted all day long was birthday cake I figured it was about time to let her have some. She really enjoyed her blowing out her candles and saying "Mia is two...happy day Mia"
Last year her we posted a picture of her with blue frosting all over her face...so this year it was a bit re-created...we thought it was cute!!
Not only was it Mia's 2nd birthday, but it was also Claire's first official day of Kindergarten. She was so excited to go. I was so happy for her to begin Kindergarten. The saddest part of it was when we dropped Claire off at school Mia just cried because she didn't want Claire to go to school.
I am so proud of my girl and how excited she is to go to school and learn so many new things and to get some new friends.
Then just today it was her first time riding the bus to school. She told me she was nervous, but she would be ok because she was brave. It was a little sad to see her get on the bus, but I was a proud mamma. At least she remembered to turn and wave to me before she just hopped on the bus.
