Time-Out

Claire doesn't like being put in Time-out. She does know when she does something wrong though. Yesterday I was on the phone and Bryan was helping get dinner ready and Claire went and sat in this chair....while doing this she said "I in time-out." I guess she gets the idea of time-out.

Rhyme Time

These videos are of Claire doing a few nursery rhymes. We are biased, but we think this is so cute. The first one is a nursery rhyme called Bobby Shafto and the second one is Wee Willie Winkie. Here are the words to help you understand what she says:

Bet you can't find Claire!!

Claire's new favorite game is hide in seek...or as she calls it "hide in sink". The other night we were playing it before it was time for her to go to bed. She usually likes us to hide, but this time she wanted to hide. I couldn't resist bringing the camera along...We did find her eventually. I bet you can't find her because she found the best hiding place of all.
Not to mention when you are looking for her and say something like "is she in her bed" she'll answer you and say "no"...or if you ask "is she in the closet"...she again answer and say "yes".

We did it and she loves it!!

For Bryan's birthday his parents gave him a new bike (I recently got my bike from my parents). Since we both had bikes we decided to get a trailer to hook to our bikes to pull Claire around. We tried it out today for the first time. Since the weather was so nice. Here Claire is excited to go.
Here is a picture of Bryan and Claire. When I would ride behind them and Claire couldn't seem me she would yell "mom where you go?" It was so cute. So I had to ride faster so she could seem me. We had a lot of fun. Claire loved it!

Cookies

Today was a great day. I took time today to make some cookies with Claire. She absolutely had a great time. She loved her apron and rolling out the dough....

...eating the dough....

...getting flour on her face...

... frosting the cookies...
... and putting the sprinkles on...
Overall I think this was a great activity to do with Claire. She had so much fun. She just giggled and made a mess, but loved it.

Singing Again

Claire floored us the other day as she started to sing a new song. We asked her where she learned it and she said..."nursery". We had to get her singing on tape because of the facial expressions she pulls. We love listening to her sing.

This is a video of Claire repeating a Dora episode. She has an ability to memorize shows similar to Bryan. In this particular episode Swiper swipes instruments from Dora and her friends. She is quoting Swiper when he says "Too late. You'll never see your instruments now..." then he laughs. Watch Claire's expression when she laughs.


This video is of Claire singing yet again another song from Dora. It is a song about speaking Spanish and English. The words are "I speak Spanish and English too. I like them both. How about you?" Then notice her face and reaction when she realizes I'm taping her.
