Bowling Party

Every morning the last couple of days Claire has asked to go bowling. I guess she really liked it. We tried teaching her to play it on the wii. All she wanted to do was grab the ball...since it was on the TV she couldn't really do that. So we made a bowling lane for her in our basement. As you can see we just used empty pop bottles and a basket ball. She used a ramp when we were bowling in Utah so we improvised and used her slide as one. Here are two videos of Claire bowling.

It's happened to us!

Well the dreaded pink eye has hit our family. Claire got it a couple of weeks ago...we did the drops (which if you have never done them with a little kid...it is not a pleasant experience)...a few days went by and she got it again...(this happened while we were in Utah). Then we got different drops...those seem to work and have cleared up her pink eyes. I was so excited to get that whole problem over...

.......it wasn't over!!! I woke up this morning with my eye all gooey and pink....When will this end? I have done all that I could do to disinfect this bug from our house. I just hope that this will end soon.

Trip to Utah

It was so much fun to go to Utah and spend some time with my family. Claire loved spending time with her grandparents and her cousins. We just wish we lived closer. It was so much fun and we are glad we got to spend time with everyone.
We took Claire bowling while down in Utah. She absolutely loved it. She was so excited to wear her "special shoes".The smile she had when she went to bowl was so cute. She absolutely loved having her turn to bowl. It was so cute to see her grab her pink ball...push it...and see it roll down the lane and knock down the pins.

Claire woke up and found Grandpa doing some exercises. So she decided to sit down and do what he was doing. It was so cute I couldn't help but take a picture.

Another Claire and grandpa moment....Claire walked in and saw grandpa shaving. She wasn't quite sure of what he was doing. He put some shaving cream on her cheeks. She thought she was pretty special.

It's my birthday!!

Claire loved her birthday cake. At first she wasn't so sure what to do with it. She just would touch the frosting with her fingers and then lick her fingers. She needed to be shown how to just take a bite out of it. Here she is enjoying her cake.

Look Who's TWO!!!!

Well another year has come and gone. Bryan and I can't believe we are parents to a two year old. That is just crazy. We are so excited each day to see what Claire will learn and say. Here is an example of something we taught her....and something we just told her to say. (She is staring up at a couple of Dora balloons she got for her birthday). We just love having Claire in our family. She is such a joy to have around.

Too Big Too Fast

Well another one of Claire's Christmas presents was a "big girl" bed. She loves it. She was so excited to get on the bed and try it out. She was grinning from ear to ear when she realized the little stool helped her get on her bed. I even decorated her room with some cross-stitches. I think they turned out good.

We are crossing our fingers that she will continue to stay in her bed as good as she currently is. She has only been sleeping in her bed for about four days now, but so far she is doing great. Here is our proof that Claire is sleeping in a "big girl" bed!

Christmas

We had a great Christmas. We hope everyone else did also. One of my favorite things to see at the Christmas season is all the presents under the tree of course with the lights on. This is our tree on Christmas morning. You can even see the Donald Duck doll that Santa left in the tree for Claire. She loves Donald Duck.

This kitchen and all of her cooking clothing is one of Claire's favorite things she got for Christmas. Thanks to both grandparents for getting the kitchen and all the supplies for it. When we took her down to see this kitchen she was wearing the apron Peggy made her (she loves it by the way- although she isn't wearing it in this picture). When Claire saw the kitchen she said:
"Thank you! I love it!"
